Welcome to 1st Yarram Scouts
The 1st Yarram Scout Group is located in the heart of Central Gippsland, Victoria. The group was founded in 1910, closed briefly in 2006, but was reformed in 2012 and has been going strong ever since.
We run an engaging youth program packed with all the traditional Scouting favourites; camping, bush cooking, orienteering, and a good helping of indoor and outdoor fun. We encourage all of our Scouts to develop life skills, become involved with the community, and take on new challenges. And we have a great time doing it!

Scouts meet at our Yarram Scout Hall once a week during school terms, with optional camps and activities at various weekends throughout the year.
At 1st Yarram Scouts we currently have 3 Scouting Sections:
Joey Scouts - for ages 5-8yrs
Mondays 4.30 - 5.30pm
Cub Scouts - for ages 8-11yrs
Thursdays 5.30 - 7.00pm
Scouts - for ages 11-14yrs
Tuesdays 5.30 - 7.30pm
The current annual fee for the 1st Yarram Scout Group is $350. The Scouting year runs from April to March each year, and the annual fee is charged at a pro-rata amount for registrations starting later in the year. For an accurate quote on fees for your child, please contact us.
Please note: Annual fees do not include optional activities or camps.
The short answer is YES!
If there is room available in the Section your child is eligible for (age dependent) then you are welcome to register for a free 3-week trial. The free trial is a chance for you and your child to experience Scouting in Yarram, and decide if it's the right fit, before signing up. Contact us today to discuss availability.
